A quote from Karen, Sr.

"Preston talks so much. Really, he talks more than any kid I've ever seen. He talks more than you (Cindy) and Caroline put together and that is saying A LOT!" The Cindy/Mommy translation of that is that my son is a GENIUS! :)

Where you at?

Mark your calendars

OK, I know it is almost two months away, but you guys should all go ahead and jot on your calendars that you're coming to Princeton on Sept. 11. That is Black Patch weekend and there will be a full day of festivities on Sat., Sept. 12. Sarah's birthday is the 11th, so it there can be a bonus celebration too!

Sarah has already told me that she spent many of her early birthday weekends with her own family at Black Patch. It's odd to me that while I was 13 or so and probably off smoking some where in Big Springs Park (my mother will LOVE that comment) that Sarah was wandering around in Princeton too. Little did I know that I would eventually straighten out AND that my awesome cousin-in-love was right under my nose!

Anyway, there are three households to choose from - mine, Mom's or Nan-na's. Can't wait to see you all! Only JM and Karen have a possible "get out of jail free" card. If you happen to need to go to Ethiopia to pick up my precious nephew that weekend, that is totally ok by me ;)

I'm glad I don't have a daughter.

I am so glad these didn't exist when I was a child or my mother would've made me wear them.
